Cassia Essential Oil

Cassia packs a punch and comes a close second to Cinnamon being used for centuries, due to it’s various health benefits.  It is said that if you see Cinnamon in the shops, it will more likely be Cassia as bark rolled up in a stick due to the closeness in smell and flavour.  It is a more cost effective essential to use as a replacement for Cinnamon, especially in diffuser blends. This is a great oil to help warm you up and to help aid circulation, provide digestive support and it is also an energising essential oil.  It is a very ‘hot’ oil so please use very carefully, as it can feel like it burns the skin and when inhaling, do so with great care.

This is the Oil of Self-Assurance.  As an essential oil made from bark it has a very protective characteristic, like the bark is the armour to protect the tree.  It can help people who may feel a little withdrawn or shy as it aids you by feeling like you are having a very warm hug to help you on your way, to reach out more and let you know that everything will work out ok, when you feel like you are unable to adapt.  It can also be used to help you open up spiritually.

Ways to use Cassia are:

Use in place of Cinnamon for food flavouring (use sparingly - a bit on a toothpick to start) or for diffuser blends

Add to firs, spruces and citrus oils for a delicious and festive feeling diffuser blend.  It will make your whole home smell delicious.  It also has cleansing benefits for the air around you due to its special  chemical constituents and the properties of the oil

Add a drop to a carrier oil for a warming sensation to your feet

Use sparingly with a carrier oil over your belly to help aid digestion when massaging in a clockwise motion
