Cardamom is the oil of objectivity (for me the Oil for Anger) and a great essential oil to use when you feel so angry that you are losing your head i.e. hotheadedness when you feel like you are starting to become irrational and out of control. It will help to bring you back to balance, ensuring a more level head to deal with the situation at hand by using your anger in a creative way, rather than a destructive way. As it helps you digest the intense emotions, it will also help support your own physical digestion, so it is great essential oil to mix with other digestive oils such as fennel, peppermint or ginger to name a few.
The fragrance is deep and pungent and clears the nose when inhaled, making it very helpful to ease restriction in the chest due to its high 1,8-cineole content, promoting clear breathing and respiratory health. It is a member of the ginger family and sourced in Guatemala where the seeds are then distilled to produce this spice oil. It is so pure (CPTG) that it can also be used in cooking; although I would use sparingly - 1 drop to taste to start with. It has also been considered an aphrodisiac to help enhance romance or bring a it of fire in to your life, building confidence and to help you stand strong in a relationship.
To help your respiratory system, use with Eucalyptus and Ravintsara - rub on the bottom of your feet or over your chest and upper back area. Always use a carrier oil for skin sensitivity
Have in the diffuser with oils such as Vetiver, Cedarwood, Cassia, Spikenard or Cinnamon for a grounding blend
As an aphrodisiac enhancer try mixing in the diffuser with floral oils such as Rose, Neroli, Jasmine or Ylang Ylang
Add a drop to your cooking when cardamom is part of the recipe - try a drop at a time or a place on a toothpick and mix in to start
Can be taken internally in a veggie cap to help aid digestion
