DYI Toilet Pods

DIY night - long over due

Tonight I’ve made toilet bombs which are a non toxic way of cleaning your loo.
the build up of toxins in the home has been a priority of mine and something that, since starting on my doTERRA journey, I felt needed to be a priority

I have swapped out many of our cleaning products from cream cleansers for the bathroom, kitchen bench spray, shampoo and conditioner, hand soap, washing detergent and floor cleaner to name a few. It’s been a revelation what you can do with a few simple ingredients and potent and pure essential oils

Thanks go to Ange Peters, a doTERRA leader who I follow on Instagram @holfit, who posted this recipe and has helped bring another recipe for green cleaning in to the mix

Mix up a cup of baking soda and half a cup of citric acid together

Slowly add 1.5 tablespoons of Castile soap and 15 drops of doTERRA Purify essential oil and mix until it resembles wet sand

Put into cup cake tray and then leave to dry for 4 hours, remove from the pods and then store in an air tight container and use when ready.

NB - They rise a little like cup cakes so just keep pushing them down - they feel quite damp so squish them down and leave to dry out

Drop a pod in your toilet, wait for it to stop fizzing and then scrub clean

What other green cleaning tips would you like help with?
